Our vision is to restore the natural world by revolutionising the way we feed animals
Our mission is to accelerate a global transition to sustainable protein using insects, innovation and technology.
We’re Entocycle, a world-leading insect farming technology provider specialising in modular insect farms. We design, build and deploy scalable facilities that convert food waste into local, low-carbon protein and organic fertiliser, supporting circular economy and sustainable agriculture solutions.
“Living across Southeast Asia, Central America and South America showed me first-hand how growing demand for food and animal feed is harming our land and marine ecosystems. Ingredients like soy and fishmeal are essential, yet scaling them sustainably remains a challenge. These experiences shaped my mission to support a more resilient, circular food system through innovative, low-carbon protein solutions, including insect-based protein.”
- Keiran Whitaker, Founder
The climate crisis is one of humanity’s greatest challenges, with agriculture being a major contributor, producing 19-29% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. On top of this, one-third of all the food produced worldwide is either lost or wasted. Traditional livestock farming and the production of protein-rich animal feed requires significant natural resources that drive deforestation, overfishing and biodiversity loss.
Insects have always been a vital part of the natural food chain, serving as both animal feed and waste decomposers, yet they remain largely absent from industrial food systems.
Entocycle was founded in 2017 to accelerate the global shift to sustainable protein through insect farming, innovation and technology. We transform food waste into low-carbon insect protein and organic fertiliser (FRASS), supporting a circular economy and sustainable food system. Because nature doesn’t believe in waste, and neither do we.
